Anishinaabe Constitutional Development is paving the way to get out of the Federal Indian Act. To help strengthen our jurisdictional pathway. Save the dates for the upcoming Regional Engagement Sessions on Constitutional Development and “Grounding our understanding on UNDRIP – Human Rights, Treaties and Anishinaabe Legal Traditions:

The ANT2T is pleased to share with you that we will be inviting 3 knowledge keepers – 1 male, 1 female and 1 youth from each member nation to participate in a Two-Day Regional Session on January 15th & 16th in Winnipeg at the Best Western, Greenwood. We encourage you to speak with your leadership if you are interested in attending. Please note, ANT2T will be covering only 4 four participants per member nation.

Day 1 of the Regional Session will focus on “Constitutional Development” – break out discussions and gathering feedback to improve the constitutional tool kit.

Day 2 (half day session) will cover the “Grounding our Understanding of United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), Human Rights, Treaties and Anishinaabe Legal Traditions Project”. – Presentations and Open Dialogue Session.

Please Note: The closing date for registration is set for January 8th at 12:00 p.m. Late registrations will not be accepted past this date. We thank-you for your understanding and support as our team works to coordinate this exciting and important regional session.
