Ogichidaa McLean and the Treaty 2 Ogimaag send heart felt prayers and condolences to the families and friends of Crystal Shannon Beardy, and Stephanie Amanda Beardy of Lake St. Martin First Nation. Melelek Leseri Lesikel, and Dylan Maxwell Lavallee whose lives were recently lost through a needless act of violence.

We stand with other Nations in Turtle Island tl1at are hurting over the loss of the four victims in Manitoba as mentioned, and others across the Nation that have lost their lives through violent crimes.

“We pray for our families who are struggling, and for everything that has happened as it is very hurtful – as we move through the collective grief, we want to see actionable change. Our ways of relating to each other will empower us to feel and heal our way through to begin healing as a Nation, Giinawind (Us-Together)” said Ogichidaa Cornell McLean.
